The entire scene shown seems almost ethereal; with the lack of life or obvious movement about the ground. This contrasts sharply with the clouds, which; under whatever effect has been placed on them, seems to me as though it is a ghost city, witnessing the passage of time from memories of time past. Another element that adds to that effect would be the sharp detail of the ground, which contrasts yet again with the blurred, reddish color of the clouds. Almost a metaphor for life and the passage of time, in my opinion. A beautiful job overall, that deserves very serious merit on your part.

I love the originality of this whole thing.

The way it seems to combine modern time and back in the day is astounding and the way the colors are washed out really gives it a good eerie feeling.
Almost looks like it should be in a movie about magical cool things. Or very serious cool things.
The clouds reallygive it that kick of surrealism just in the way they are formed and how they seem to be in a hurry... if that makes any sense.

The building is perhaps the best part of this picture, just so old and majestic looking. Great picture.
