this is my first critique, but i really wanted to do one for this photograph. i like the fairytale and mysterious feel to the picture as well as the way the trees contrast against the sky. it's very foreboding. what i don't like, though, is how the photograph seems over-edited. but maybe that's a matter of personal taste. something interesting you could have done would be to incorporate just one extra color, to add some more variety and dynamic. overall, i liked the cold and storybook look of the photo and the darkness of the trees, but didn't like the editing. i don't think i said anything to offend you, but if i did, i'm really sorry! this are just my thoughts. if you want to disregard them, then that's your right. thank you for reading all the way to the end, and wow, this is getting somewhat long, I'LL END HERE
This is very ethereal. I like the way the branches stand in intricate contrast to the cloudy sky, only their silhouettes visible. The green grass and the sandy road seem almost painted on, yet unnervingly present and real The picture evokes bleakness and calm serenity. From the oblique perspective of the trees slightly tilted, you feel like you are being carried across the road. The whole off center feeling of the picture makes me feel a slight sense of foreboding. The mansion/castle in the background is hard to make out sense it is occurred by the trees, but it makes me think of old wealth.
