This is a beautiful portrait. I love the color scheme. It leaves you with a sense of timeless romance. The expression of the model leaves you with a sense of saddness, longing. The portrait seems pure, sincere, and unposed (with in my opionion is what MAKES a potrait beautiful). The way that the subject is brought into focus against an unfocused background, draws more attention to the expression, which conveys emotion. The beauty of photography is not neccessarily in the technique, but more in the photographs ability to evoke emotion. This photo definantly does express a sense of emotion. This is beautiful work!

I must say, this is probably one of the prettiest portraits I've seen in a very long time.
Her visage is absolutely the most serene and collected I've seen, with a touch of sadness hiding beneath it all, just at the corners of her eyes and her soft smile.
I really enjoy how her hair and make up are nothing at all as the title of this piece suggests. Not your typical Gothic, though in essence she appears to be more of the genre then the overdone are. The necklace is the only clue that is blatantly in your face that has anything to do with what you've named this piece.
I adore her hair, the flyaway strands add emphasis to her expression, and your camera caught even the most deviant of them and brought them into the frame, to life.
If there was ANYTHING I would change about this portrait, it would probably be the crop - if her shoulder or back were more in view it would lend so much more to the overall image. But I am just nitpicking. Overall, this is a gorgeous photograph of a beautiful model in a wonderful setting that made me smile this morning when I opened it up
