Mmmm Gothic! It's probably is my favorite style of medieval architecture! Your photo encompasses all of the best features of the Gothic style, the large stain glass windows which let in so much beautiful light. I'm glad you chose to include the apse in the photo, it's what drew me into the photograph, with it's large stain glass windows that pretty much make up all of the walls of the apse and let in so much light. Also the light coming in from the transept help to emphasize the apse. The groin vaults with ribbing, that connects to the shafts that run all the way down to the floor give this cathedral a wonderful sense of height. The main arcade with it's pointed arches, the triforium and clerestory are also some of the best parts of the Gothic style. The angle in which you took the photo also helps to emphasize just how tall Gothic architects at the time were able to make the walls. Over all, this is an amazing church and i think your photo captures just how beautiful the Gothic style is.
